This is why every year we encourage all members of staff to nominate those exceptional team members who have truly excelled in the last 12 months to receive our prestigious Employee of the Year Award, announced at the annual staff party.
This year, we had 11 outstanding colleagues on the shortlist and in the end the winner was announced as Nick Gasson, a shining star in our conference and banqueting department.
Nick was been a member of the team at The Grand for many years and has an unrivalled dedication to ensuring his department runs like clockwork. He regularly works overtime by arriving early and leaving late and has been known to come into the hotel on his days off to ensure our clients' events go without a hitch!
Nick was nominated by his colleagues and peers and our general manager, Jonathan Webley, was delighted to present Nick with his award.
