The Grand Hotel Tea Selection

Assam
A rich, deep-amber tea, ideal with ‘elevenses’. Assam makes a good alternative to coffee after a meal.

Ceylon
A bright, amber tea that is refreshing and thirst quenching.

Darjeeling
A light golden tea, which has a character likened to the muscatel grape. Ideal in the afternoon or as an elegant accompaniment with lunch.

English Breakfast Tea
The most popular House blend. It is rich, strong, fresh tasting, with good colour and flavour. It contains Ceylon for flavour, Assam for strength, and Kenya for colour.

Decaffeinated English Breakfast Tea
A pure Ceylon Broken Orange Pekoe, clean and fresh tasting with a good colour that takes milk well.

Earl Grey
This bright and full-bodied amber tea boasts both a refreshing and invigorating flavour of bergamot

Jasmine
The most popular of the scented China teas. Large leaf, lightly fermented and delicate, flavoured with
whole jasmine flowers.

Lapsang Souchong
The classic “smoky Drawing Room” tea. A larger 'souchong' leaf tea has just the right level of smokiness
and 'tar' taste. Always drink lightly brewed and very pale, without milk.

Gunpowder Green Tea
A classic Green China tea. These tight balls of grey-green leaf were originally mistaken for explosive ‘ gunpowder’! A hint of China sweetness with a dry smooth taste. Never add milk.

Herbal Teas
A choice of Camomile or Peppermint

Fruit Teas
A choice of Blackcurrant, Ginseng, Vanilla, Lemon & Ginger or Cranberry Raspberry & Elderflower
